The PictureCard Communication System has helped bring a calmness to our home with our son finally being able to communicate his needs and wants. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As a parent of a nine-year-old boy who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a professional ASD Therapist, I love using PictureCard Communication System products.

For my son, I especially loved the personalized visual schedule. It helped him in his daily routine, making his world more understandable, less frustrating and more functional for him. He has used this schedule for the last three years and he loves it, and so do I.

At our day care program, we have used the personalized visual schedules for our "Fun and Learn Program" and I can attest to the fact that these schedules made transitions a breeze for all the children who attended this program.

The PictureCard Communication System products are bright, colourful and realistic looking, thus making them easy and fun for children with visual strengths, as children with ASD tend to have. Better still, PictureCard Communication will personalize their products for your child's specific needs. The products are great for teaching early childhood cognitive concepts, such as literacy, numeracy, patterning, serialization, categorization, opposites, and generalization. All these skills are very important in helping your child deduce and reason, and, therefore, understand their world a lot better.

I have ordered quite a few materials all custom-made by Marion Pusey of PictureCard Communication and have been very happy with them. Marion manages to understand exactly what we are looking for in a visual tool/toy for our child and produces something creative. She works fast and delivers her craft in a timely fashion. Even the kids at my son's daycare enjoy playing with Marion's puzzles. Keep up the good work!!

As a professional working with numerous families each very unique in their own way, I have come to realize an important fact. Never be ashamed to ask for help no matter how large or small. All of my families have so much on their plate and hardly enough time to keep up with the various needs of their ASD child/ren. Consequently, a great deal of necessary programs are being forgotten, not for a lack of trying.

Since the beginning of my business I have run into numerous contacts who I am not afraid to turn to for assistance when it comes to my programming. Let's face it, even I don't always have the time to do all my programming. One of my greatest contacts has been Marion Pusey's PictureCard Communication. She has created numerous programs for me that I have been able to, in turn, use with many of my families' children. These visual programs have been wonderful to engage the children that I work with as they are stimulating visually and are interactive.

What's wonderful about PictureCard Communication is that Marion comes to you with an open mind and a heart of gold. As a mother with a son also diagnosed with ASD, she understands the difficulties that families go through. Therefore, she knows that only you know your child and what his/her needs are. As a result she is willing to create any program for your child that involves visual learning. She creates visual puzzles, key chains, step-by-step programs on various tasks (i.e. hand washing, brushing teeth, going to the bathroom etc.), counting programs, telling time, etc.

I use Marion's services frequently and refer her to all the families with whom I work. I highly recommend her to any family. She is creative, professional, reasonably priced, thorough and quick. Should you be interested in her work you can contact her directly by email at info@picturecardcommunication.com.

Marion did a wonderful job in putting together a PECS book, following with care the instructions and the details in design and structure elaborated by our behaviour analyst. The book is perfect in size, very appealing to look at, and with attention to every detail in presentation that makes so much difference in the quality of the product. Marion's ability to manipulate home pictures and create with them a working tool free of distraction and distortion gives us more choice in the visuals used to teach our son.

Our son was able to make more sense of language after the introduction of his PECS book and Marion provided us with a product that is durable, enjoyable to work with, aesthetically appealing and believe it or not, fun for the whole family!!!

Thanks again Marion for your work of art! It even has my son's therapists in a state of complete admiration!!

 Role model and consultative services

I have known Marion and her son Eric for a few years. I have used her service and her support and find them very helpful.

As a parent, she has done a superb job in helping her son. She has gone through all the steps many parents have gone through and will go through. Her experience and knowledge are very useful for other parents especially those whose child has recently been diagnosed.

I wish I had known her when our son was first diagnosed, we wouldn't have wasted years without knowing what to do. Not only could she help with set up programs for communication and other skills but also offer consultative service for parents.

She is a warm-hearted and sympathetic person and very easy to talk to.

I am very satisfied with her informative service. You can find her contact information at www.picturecardcommunication.com.
